The Koraga of India

The Koraga of India, numbering approximately 51,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts in Odisha, Singhbhum district in Bihar, and Midnapore district in West Bengal, once stone-carvers and basket-makers. Most are now marginal farmers and sharecroppers. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
