The Lodha of India

The Lodha of India, numbering approximately 7,445,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a tribal community of West Bengal and Odisha that historically depended on hunting, gathering, and forest resources. The Lodha experienced severe disruption under British colonial rule and today are a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
