The Sarera of India

The Sarera of India, numbering approximately 44,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, their name recalling the traditional occupation of scutching cotton. Wage labor in agriculture, roads, and quarries remains common, alongside making pestles and leaf plates. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Punjabi, Eastern and their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
