The Baiga of India, numbering approximately 640,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as an indigenous tribal people of central India, best known for their deep forest-based way of life, distinctive spiritual traditions, and their recognition by the Government of India as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) They are an Indigenous people, with Baega as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Hindi.
