They are a Han Chinese subgroup whose ancestral homeland is the Hakka-speaking region of southwest China. They are also known as 客家人. They are an Indigenous people in the Chinese people cluster of the East Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chinese, Hakka and their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion.
