The Ganai of India

The Ganai of India, numbering approximately 333,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Kashmiri Muslim community also known as Qasab, descended from a leader named Hilmat Ganai who organized animal slaughter, traditionally selling mutton and now also engaged in cultivation, embroidery, and carpet-weaving. They are an Indigenous people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kashmiri and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
