The Pathinaickans of India

The Pathinaickans of India, numbering approximately 300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a forest community of Nilambur in Malappuram district, Kerala, who migrated from Mysore forests centuries ago, their name meaning king of the foothills. Shifting cultivation and basketry now supplement hunting and gathering.
They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malayalam is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
