The Puspakan Unni of India

The Puspakan Unni of India, numbering approximately 3,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as an Ambalavasi community of Kerala also called Unni or Nambisan, traditionally garland-makers for temple deities, their name combining words for flower and child. Agriculture and white-collar work now supplement garland-making.
They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malayalam is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Puspakan Unni are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Puspakan Unni are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Puspakan Unni are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
