The Daoli of India

The Daoli of India, numbering approximately 2,900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Punjabi community whose traditional occupation was panning gold dust from the Sutlej riverbed. That trade ended after the Bhakra Nangal Dam was built, and they now chiefly operate water-mills that grind wheat flour.
They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Punjabi, Eastern is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
