The Kakkalan of India

The Kakkalan of India, numbering approximately 9,600 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste community of Kerala, also known as Kakka Kuravan. Their traditional occupations include soothsaying, mat-weaving, tailoring, and palmistry. The Kakkalan are Hindu and many now work in agricultural or white-collar jobs.
They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malayalam is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
