They are described as a diaspora ethnolinguistic people from Sindh (Pakistan). Most Sindhis descend from families that migrated from Sindh after Partition and have maintained a distinct language, cultural identity, and strong commercial traditions.
They are an Diaspora people in the Sindhi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Hindi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
