The Akurio of Brazil

The Akurio of Brazil, numbering approximately 40 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as one of the smallest and most historically isolated Indigenous peoples of South America. They are a Cariban‑speaking hunter‑gatherer group indigenous to the deep rainforest interior of Suriname, in the eastern Guiana Shield region of northern South America and can also be known as Akuriyo, Akuliyo, Wayaricuri.
They are an Diaspora people, with Akurio (Akuliyo) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples.
Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
They primarily speak Trió.
