They are described as an Indigenous group originally from the Northeastern Woodlands of North America. During the 19th century they were forcible relocated to Oklahoma and can also be known as Wendat, Wyandotte, Waⁿdát.
They are an Indigenous people, with Wyandot as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples.
Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism.
They primarily speak English.
