They are described as a South Slavic people of Central Europe whose culture reflects the interaction of Alpine, Mediterranean, Balkan, and Central European traditions. Slovene society places strong value on language, education, and family life.
They are an Diaspora people in the Slav, Southern people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc.
Slovene is their primary language and Roman Catholicism is their primary religion.
