The Gorait of India

The Gorait of India, numbering approximately 10,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Bihar community of traditional drum-beaters, related to the Kora, who once also made bamboo combs and carded cotton. Paid annually by villagers for ceremonial drumming, many now work in agriculture, wage labor, and rickshaw-pulling.
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Sadri is their primary language and Ethnoreligion is their primary religion.
