The Ganrar of India

The Ganrar of India, numbering approximately 34,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste community of lower Assam and the Barak Valley, speaking Assamese and Bengali. They traditionally fished streams and ponds for a living, though many now shift to white-collar jobs and business. They are also known as Namosudra.
They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Assamese is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
