The Thoria of India

The Thoria of India, numbering approximately 51,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a community of the Odisha-Madhya Pradesh border, also called Mahajan in Madhya Pradesh, once traders in salt and stationery. Settled agriculture and moneylending are now their main occupations.
They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Odia is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

Unengaged and Unreached

The Thoria are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Thoria are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Thoria are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
