The Dhor of India

The Dhor of India, numbering approximately 176,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat whose name derives from dhor, meaning cattle, traditionally engaged in tanning cattle hide purchased untanned and sold on to leather workers.
They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Marathi is their primary language and Folk Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Dhor are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.
