The Ghirath of India

The Ghirath of India, numbering approximately 374,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a large Himachal Pradesh community also known as Bahti. Their name derives from ghritam, meaning ghee, or bahna, meaning to plow, both signifying their traditional occupation of agriculture and animal husbandry.
They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Kangri is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Ghirath are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.
