The Sadgop of India

The Sadgop of India, numbering approximately 2,900,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a landowning community of West Bengal and Bihar's Singhbhum district, their name meaning good milkman, believed descended from Lord Krishna's cowherds. Agriculture remains primary, supplemented by business and government service.
They are an Indigenous people in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Bengali is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Sadgop are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Sadgop are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Sadgop are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
