The Lahu of Laos

The Lahu of Laos, numbering approximately 15,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as an ethnolinguistic community of Laos. They are also known as Lahu Nyi.
They are an Indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc.
Lahu is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.

The Lahu are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Lahu are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Lahu are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.

Ask God to raise up believers and sustain them as they cross cultures to share hope with those who need it. Pray that many might come to know Christ and that streams of living water will flow from their hearts so they will never thirst again.
