The Akha Luma of Laos

The Akha Luma of Laos, numbering approximately 6,700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as one of numerous Akha hill tribes that migrated from China into Southeast Asia during the early 20th century to settle in the mountains of northern Laos. They are also known as Louma, Luma.
They are an Indigenous people in the Hani-Akha people cluster of the Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc.
Akha is their primary language and Animism is their primary religion.
