The Northeast Teke of Congo, numbering approximately 147,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a people of Congo, Plateaux province: Gamboma District and can also be known as Mpu, Northeast Teke, Ngungwel.
They are an Indigenous people, with Teke as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African.
Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism.
They primarily speak Ngungwel.
