They are described as an ethnolinguistic community of Cameroon, Far North province: Logone-and-Chari Division, south Logone-Birni Subdivision, Zina area and east of Waza.
They are an Indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Jina is their primary language and Folk Islam is their primary religion.
