The Zaghawa of Chad

The Zaghawa of Chad, numbering approximately 225,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a large ethnic sub-group of the Beri (Kige), a semi-nomadic community indigenous to southwestern Libya, northeastern Chad, and western Sudan and can also be known as Beri.
They are an Indigenous people, with Beri (Bideyat, Zaghawa) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Kanuri-Saharan people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African.
Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni.
They primarily speak Zaghawa.

Unengaged and Unreached

The Zaghawa are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Zaghawa are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.
