The Pale De`ang of China, numbering approximately 11,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a distinct ethnolinguistic subgroup of the De’ang people of China, part of the wider Palaung / Ta’ang family that extends across China, Myanmar, and Thailand and can also be known as 德昂族.
They are an Diaspora people, with Palaung as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Mahayana Buddhism.
They primarily speak Palaung, Ruching.
