The Mankar of India

The Mankar of India, numbering approximately 223,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a class of village watchmen tied to Mana/Halba/Joshi subcastes who now are primarily agriculturalists. The Mankar migrated from Gujarat to Madhya Pradesh (Indore district). They speak Malvi and practice Hinduism.
They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malvi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
