The Chote of India

The Chote of India, numbering approximately 4,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a community of India and can also be known as Purum, Chothe, Chote.
They are an Indigenous people, with Chote / Chothe (tribe) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples.
Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism.
They primarily speak Naga, Chothe.

The Chote are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

The Chote are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
