The Durga Murga of India

The Durga Murga of India, numbering approximately 1,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a small Karnataka community of religious mendicants and deity displayers whose onomatopoeic name echoes the rasping sound of the drum they play while begging door to door with an idol of their deity Durgawa.
They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
