The Valinjiyar of India

The Valinjiyar of India, numbering approximately 1,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Kerala community of Kannur district, also called Vilakkathalavan Nair, traditionally barbers who shaved kings and nobles. Settled cultivation, labor, and government or private service now support most families.
They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malayalam is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
