The Kakmara of India

The Kakmara of India, numbering approximately 900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a small semi-nomadic community of Midnapur district in West Bengal. The Kakmara migrated from Andhra Pradesh. Their name derives from their former practice of hunting crows, or kak. They now subsist chiefly by seeking alms and rearing pigs.
They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
