The Chayakkaran of India

The Chayakkaran of India, numbering approximately 43,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Tamil Hindu occupational community whose name means dyer. The Chayakkaran traditionally engaged in dyeing and weaving, with women working alongside men, and trace a migration from the Thuluva country.
They are an Indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Tamil is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
