They are described as a community of India and can also be known as Gurkhali, Gurha, Gorkha, Nepali, Gorkhali.
They are an Indigenous people, with Gurkha / Nepali as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples.
Their primary religion is Hinduism.
They primarily speak Nepali.
