The Barad of India

The Barad of India, numbering approximately 6,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste artisan community of Himachal Pradesh, traditionally landless makers of winnowing fans and reed-grass mats who also work as daily-wage laborers. They are also known as Barar, Burar or Berar, with clans resembling Rajput clan names.
They are an Indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Bilaspuri is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Barad are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
