The Didayi of India

The Didayi of India, numbering approximately 26,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a small, traditionally forest‑dwelling tribal people of eastern India, with their own language, clan system, and nature‑centered culture, living mainly in the remote hill regions of Odisha.
They are an Indigenous people in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Odia is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Didayi are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

Unreached yet Engaged

The Didayi are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Didayi are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
