The Kusta of India

The Kusta of India, numbering approximately 2,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a community of Balangir district in Odisha named for kosa (cocoon). Weaving tussar silk cloth is their traditional trade. They purchase cocoons from the Gauda to make and sell cloth.
They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Odia is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
