The Bilaspuri of India

The Bilaspuri of India, numbering approximately 1,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Hindu community of Assam whose name derives from their origin in the Bilaspur district of present-day Chhattisgarh. Many were formerly tea-garden laborers, and today they practice agriculture and follow the Sakta tradition of Hinduism.
They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Bilaspuri is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, they will have confidence because Jesus has all authority and is with them as they make disciples and teach others about Him.

Pray that God will raise up Christians who are driven by a desire to see God's name worshiped, His kingdom come, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Ask Him to send them to the lost in this people group and sustain them.
