The Birjia of India

The Birjia of India, numbering approximately 10,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a small Indigenous tribal people of eastern–central India, known for their deep forest associations, distinct language, and classification as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) by the Government of India.
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Asuri is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Birjia are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
