The Muchi Chamar of India

The Muchi Chamar of India, numbering approximately 24,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a sub-group within the larger Chamar community of India. Though traditionally associated with leather work and tanning, Muchi Chamars are now part of the broader agricultural and urban labor force.
They are an Indigenous people in the Chamar people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
