They are described as a Coast Salish Indigenous group native to the northern Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and parts of southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. They are also known as S'Klallam, nəxʷsƛ̕áy̕əm̕.
They are an Indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples affinity bloc.
English is their primary language and Native American religions is their primary religion.
