The Gosangi of India

The Gosangi of India, numbering approximately 34,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a distinct Hindu community of South India, recognized today as a Scheduled Caste, found mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with smaller populations in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, and in migrant communities abroad. They are also known as Gosika, Gosikollu, Gosangollu.
They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Folk Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Gosangi are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.
