The Ayyanavar of India, numbering approximately 20,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a small South Indian community, mainly in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, historically agricultural laborers, Hindi-speaking (Tamil/Malayalam), and classified as a Scheduled Caste in some regions, with religious practices centered on Hindu and village deities.
They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Malayalam is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
