The Kela of India

The Kela of India, numbering approximately 29,500 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a community of West Bengal, where they are Muslim, and Odisha, where they hold Scheduled Caste status, traditionally catching snakes and toads for a living. Most now repair household items such as locks and umbrellas.
They are an Indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Bengali is their primary language and Sunni Islam is their primary religion.
