The Bargunda of India

The Bargunda of India, numbering approximately 31,500 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Caste occupational community of Madhya Pradesh whose traditional livelihood centers on basketry and mat-weaving. They speak Telugu and are organized into two clans, the Kabadia and the Satpadia.
They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Bargunda are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

The Bargunda are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Bargunda are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
