The Bunkar of India

The Bunkar of India, numbering approximately 48,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a tradition weaving community of southern Rajasthan whose name derives from the term for "one who weaves." Now largely landless daily-wage laborers, they speak Vagri, are organized into endogamous clans, and worship Ramdev as their family god.
They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Wagdi is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Bunkar are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
