The Kapewar of India

The Kapewar of India, numbering approximately 80,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as a Telugu-origin masonry community of Maharashtra, also called Beldar, named for the kavacha tool they use to lay cement. The Kapewar migrated from Andhra Pradesh under Nizam rule. They now mainly work as agriculturists and laborers.
They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Kapewar are Unengaged and Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations among which there are no known efforts focused on establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

The Kapewar are Engaged yet Unreached, which means there are less than 2% evangelical Christian populations but there are sustained efforts at establishing self-sustaining churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice.

No longer Unreached

The Kapewar are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
