The Savar Lodha of India

The Savar Lodha of India, numbering approximately 149,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of Bihar and West Bengal's Midnapore district, also called Savar, once forest hunters, historically classified as a criminal tribe. Many now depend on agricultural labor and wage work.
They are an Indigenous people in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Bengali is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
