The Bhattra (Punjabi) of India

The Bhattra (Punjabi) of India, numbering approximately 80,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as a Sikh community concentrated in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana. The Bhattra are believed to be the descendants of Mandhomal, a Brahman rishi (saint) of Sri Lanka whose followers converted to Sikhism and followed Guru Nanak back to India. They are also known as Bhatra.
They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Punjabi, Eastern is their primary language and Sikhism is their primary religion.
