The Segidi of India

The Segidi of India, numbering approximately 12,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a community of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, Andhra Pradesh, traditionally toddy-sellers and arrack-distillers, their name recalling scarring palm trees for sap. Agriculture and trade have replaced this occupation.
They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
