The Kalingi of India

The Kalingi of India, numbering approximately 729,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached.
They are described as a Telugu-speaking community of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha named for the ancient Kalinga territory. They were traditionally temple priests brought in by Kalinga kings before the arrival of Brahmans. Agriculture is now their main livelihood.
They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Telugu is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.
